When a sod farmer in Texas, and local dealer United Ag & Turf turned to AXON to swap out some troublesome tires, we had a solution at the ready that helped them — quite literally — save some green.

The turf farmer was driving a John Deere 6105E 2WD that was equipped with too-skinny tires: 10.00-16 on the front and 460/85R34 on the rear. With very little flotation, the existing tires were constantly disturbing the fresh sod, leading to unusable product and an overall loss on the grower’s bottom line.

With a custom set of wheels to hold them on, new 41x14.00-20 Galaxy Mighty Mows on the front and 30.5L32 Alliance 390s on the rear changed the game when it came to planting, maintaining and harvesting this delicate crop.
